Fighting the Flu in 2019
There have been 596 influenza-associated hospitalizations since the 2018-19 flu season began in October. Experts expect this to rise, with peak flu activity starting now and ending in February. If you and your family haven't gotten your flu shots, it is still recommended!
Flu symptoms may include: cough, sore throat, a high fever, stuffy or runny nose, muscle and body aches, headaches, and fatigue. Children tend to experience nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea more commonly than adults. The flu vaccine limits your symptoms, so even if your family falls ill, people experience milder symptoms.
All APA offices still have flu vaccine - both in the injectable and FluMist form - available. Just call 303-699-6200 to schedule an appointment!
